:D Just a quick one, what does it means when you see things like D/G on a song. Do you play D or G chords or just which ever you want?

That is what is called a slash chord. It is a D chord, with a G note bass note.

You CAN play just a D or a G depending upon the song. I've done it many times. Picking up the G bass can be difficult for a beginner. The composer feels it sounds best or is more technically correct to write D/G.

Also, sometimes the writer will string together several chords so quickly it would be near impossible to change that quickly. You can drop some of them if your ear is good enough to figure out which ones.
