New to this....

I began taking guitar lessons about 2 weeks ago and now my 2 sons, ages 7 and 10 want to take lessons too. I don't know much about guitars. I purchased an Ibanez AW200VV for myself but have no idea what is good for children. Can anyone help?

It is awsome that your children want to learn as well. I, myself, wish I had begun at an earlier age than I did.

Well, my advice here is to keep in mind they are children, and childrens' attension spans can be short.

I would try not to spend more than one-hundred dollars on their guitar(s) ($100 each if you get two). If they take to it well, then by all means, buy them a better guitar. Also, because their hands are smaller, an oversized guitar is probably not for them; smaller guitars are made as youth models, and is probably a good choice for guitar size for them.

I am not sure of manufacturers because I have not browsed the market for youth guitars, but I would ask someone at your local music shop.
