This may sound a littele crazy but who when they play just kinda like stands there no movement; starting at the fretboared????
I read this article about its not good to do that so now i like move around (alot like Flea) and feel the music go through me (playing aeroplane solo):).
Is this a good thing to practice? getting used to not looking at fretbored and its hailing now lol:)

lol not really bro.. auctually u make a point... go bak and look at people like Tony Iommi... see him on stage and u think.. is that guy asleep lol.. but he has his reasons.. alot probably being his fingers.. and paying a lot of attention to that.. but he never really moved much as in excitement that I have seen.. now compare that to Zakk Wylde or Van Halen lol. Its all in ur style.. if u feel it.. and really get into it and can play with out looking then go for it if thats how u feel when u play.. if not.. don't force it.. it really won't be ur style... just go with how u feel is what I am basicly sayin

flea looks at his fret board as much as he moves.. there is no right or wrong way .. just do what makes you happy at the moment

I only look at the fretboard when I practice a new song. If I can play the song without looking, I just close my eyes and nod to the beat while I play.

I try not to look but if it's something exceptionally hard, even if I've mastered it, or if I start t get a little uncomfortabl I'll look down on my fingers just to let myself know where I'm at.

i dont move a lot. i hardly ever even stand up. i ususally just sit down. i'm not really cordinated to move my feet and hands at the same time with out a major accident or sucking really bad. i guess i'll have to work on that
i ALWAYS look at my fretboard unless someone is talking to me. it's just a habbit i dont always need to

dont think too much on it, some songs that i get into i dont even think about, but others i have to stare at my fretboard or the guitarist or the dummer, dont think about it and your style will come without u knowing it
