Ibanez universe 7's

i was wondering if anyone here has an ibanez universe 7?, or anyone that has tried one. im looking into gettin a 7 string to go along with my bitchin DeArmond M-70(with gold and chrome double humbuckers:D), anyways, if someones got some info on them please tell me

i have played a really funky multi-coloured universe about 6 months back, only really remember it cos of its massive price tag. not a bad guitar as far as 7 strings go, im not a massive fan of them myself (like the sounds, but not the extra neck thickness - thats why im thinking of getting a yamaha d6, if anyones played one let me know what you think of it)

Suppose it depends how much you want one, personally - i thought it sounded great, played fairly well but the price tag was well outta my range.

Never played a Universe but I do own & play an Ibanez AX7221. Love 7 string guitars....

hmm.. what do you think to the ibanez? considering getting one myself at some point

I think that Ibanez are very well built guitars, even their cheaper models. They are very good for heavier music, but also good for lighter music.

I would definately buy an Ibanez....mine is well made and a joy to play. The Ax7221 has a bubinga wood reinforced neck that's very comfortable to play!
