Me and my band wrote this song called "Made in Taiwan". With a really really cool orientaly riff for the chorus... But i cant seem to figure out a scale or mode that sounds oriental enough for the solo.. any help?

chordhouse.com (http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/guitar/index_rb.html) has this scale and some others that might fit your needs and you can display them on the whole fretboard.

Pentatonics! The pentatonic scale originated from Japan. Play the pentatonic minor clean and slow over some simple chords and you'll hear that oriental sound.
