okay, i just got my acoustic guitar and i've been playing bass for a while. And i've been working on a b chord which is a bar chord and i'm having difficutly after making the 2nd fret bar to make the fourth fret bar because my fingers are either to big and make the first string thump or their too small and make the 2nd or 4th string thump Please help!!!!

Hi, I don’t quite understand what you mean by “thump”. But if you are using your 1st finger to barre the 2nd fret and your 2nd, 3rd and 4th fingers on the 4th fret, this could be the problem cos’ this is a very difficult chord to play, in my opinion.
You could try using your 1st finger to barre the 2nd fret, as before, but use your 3rd finger on the 4th fret instead. This way allows you to play the 2nd, 3rd and 4th strings very easily but it does have a downside, it’s almost impossible to play the 1st string.
Both ways are valid ways to play the B chord; it’s just that the second way is easier.
I hope that helps, if not please clarify what you mean by “thump”.
