The Starting Line- Best of Me
I was asked to play at a reunion show for a "punk" band that I used to sing in, the bassist is now a guitarist (and pretty good, I might add) and that was the first song on our setlist.

Good Lord: you people really make me feel my age! The first song I learned was On The Road Again by Canned Heat!
By the way, Is it my imagination or what? But do any of you notice a distinct similarity between Fried Hockey Boogie by Canned Heat and Le Grange by ZZ Top?

I hear ya with that whole short attention span thing. It seems I get bored all too easily sometimes.
Maybe I have ADD and don't know about it.

I'm not a bassist at all but when I went to school and had a band (without a bassist) we once borrowed a bass from our music teacher for a rehearsal and I played it. I had to learn the bass lines at home on my guitar and then play them at school on the bass. Two songs: Anybody seen my baby by the Stones and Californication. My fingers did hurt indeed but it was fun. These are actually the only two songs I can play on a bass.

I think I do... my mom says I can't get medicine though. Its like. On the way to school, I go off in a trance. I start looking at the lines on the rode and seeing if I can make a dot thats on the winshield go in and out of them without touching them.
I have short attention span. Lol.

ADD is just an excuse for kids to act out. since the 70's the amount of kids with ADD has trippled. people just finnaly found a good excuse. and i'm not saying there are no real kids with add cuz there are a ton of real ones but a lot now adays are excuses

true ADD might just be an excuse but I guarantee that short-attention spans in kids has increased. you know with all the t.v, computers and such.

If I have a girl I know she's gonna be a cheerleader (the good kind that you see on ESPN, that's what the mrs. did)
If it's a boy, football and baseball (and maybe basketball, my girl was pretty good at it.)
I don't know what kind of music they'd be into though, hopefully my kind of music.

hmm, sounds like you are setting them up for life as an evil overlord with names like that. I would be really tempted to name my kid James II. or for a girl Juliet. I love J.
but no matter what, I will raise the ultimate guitar kid, people have tried, but they keep letting little things like a childhood and a social life interfere with their offsprings guitar godliness. my kid will kick ass.

I don't care about cheerleaders, I don't want the kids to be spoiled, my girl is gonna spoil them, I'm gonna rule with an iron fist. Those kids will bow down to me!
If they give me breakfast in bed, I hit 'em, yelling "I didn't ask for breakfast in bed!!!" The next morning I'm gonna find them, hit them and yell "Where's my breakfast in bed?!?!?!"
Oh yeah, I name the boys, she names the girls. She wants "Joey" for the girl  I want "Ethan" for the boy.
Oh yeah, I am a preppy if you didn't already know.
