ok heres the skinny: there is this mega retarded thing called the 'multicultural show' that our school does...and all of the honors foreign language classes are required to participate. so im in spanish, and we have to do an act...problem is its some queer dance thing. the only way i can get out of dancing may be to play a spanish style flamenco thingie on guitar while the rest of the class dances...so i need a few pointers on the style.

1)can anyone post up some good flamenco or spanish style chord shapes and scales?

2)maddmattuk could you please post up a link to the piece you recorded called spaniard or whatever and the tab for it...id like to use it as a reference to working on my piece. also if you have a powertab of it i would love that.

Here's the Spanish Gypsy scale. I think that's what its called, don't quote me.

e:------------------------------5-6-9---------------
B:------------------------5-6-8---------------------
G:--------------------6-7---------------------------
D:--------------5-7-8-------------------------------
A:------4-5-7-8-------------------------------------
E:--5-6---------------------------------------------

A harmonic minor might work as well, but why should I type what you can look up?

Yes i agree....ive been working with that scale a while now.
start out with the a minor open strum it and move that chord up 1 step
then tremelo pick 12-13 on high e and flow through a scale run and end it with a minor 7th.
That might get the ball rollin
