Anybody use Fast Fret you know that teflon type string /fingerboard stuff?
I remember the good old days when it came in a tin can it was good stuff and lasted back then
Now it comes in a plastic thing and man the stuff sucks big time
Any one have this problem of it drying out after a short while and why have they changed to this plastic thing as I see this new container as being the problem

never heard of it. Other than it drying out, I am guessing you feel it is a good product? I would try putting it in a ziplock bag or something. Is it just a string and fingerboard lubricant?

Yes it is a string lub and helps to give a longer string life
It is an American product made by GSD i think thats the name,
on another forum a few people have been dissapointed since the change in how the stuff is stored the company that makes it have been inundated with complaints and have said that due to some new law the use of the tin has had to stop but they dont say exactly why or what this law is. The good news is that they are working on a new container and have said that they will send everybody that is unhappy a free Fast fret

I am about to buy one in this trashy container, complain, and then get another one. Two for one deal :). I just use string cleaner/lube spray that my local music shop sells.

I got some last weekend, although mostly to clean the fretboard. It seemed to work okay, although it is starting to get a little dry... for $5 it should last longer than a week. By the way, it's made by GHS.
