strt wif yor comunicashun skillz... typing especially. If you don't want to take the time to type a 15 word question in an intelligent and legible manner, why should anyone take the time to answer your question?

how funny i foundthe above thats i abit mean
dont u forget you were beginers onece,
i would get all 4 fingers working at the same strngth istead of neglecting the smaller ones cos you will pay for it in thel ong run,
leard sum easy songs i suggest the kid's arnt alright by the offspring
try and get ur head round the idea of 1 finger per fret
and try out sum songs with weird timings such as electric six' gay bar
and for gods sakes dont use a pick, anyone can use a pick atleast use ur fingers a bit cos it will help with other styles.

typing errors are perfectly ok. but going out of his way to type in slang that is hard to understand is very annoying

Technically you CAN but I would not recommend it. I prefer to use my fingers to pick the notes on a bass, not a plec. It's hard to play the guitar that way. Plus everything would sound one octave higher than it should.

My advice, if you really want to learn bass, get a bass.

And don't be part of the crowd and talk in internet slang, it's generally looked down upon here at c-fret. It's just a lot easier when we're reading complete words rather than letters.

they have those little thingys that you can get at sports stores that you crunch your fingers with to get them stronger. anyone know waht those are called? anyone know waht i'm talking about?

well anyway i'd say those are good for fingers. also just playing 4 8th notes on each string going faster and faster each time until you are able to go very fast
