Any Suggestions?

Theres a good chance I am going to buy a new guitar some time within the next few months, and wondering what I can get for up to $700. I already have a few model's in mind that I want to check out when I get to a music store.

I thought mabe some one here could suggest something.

Get a strat. I'm sure you could get one for $700. I live in England and you can pick them up for about £500 which is about the same. Allthough I've heard detremental comments about the quality of wood the're using, so it might not be your best bet, I dunno though.

yeah. The ones I had in mind were the fender deluxe double fat strat, and the peavey EVH wolfgang which I'm kind of leaning toward at the moment.

Hey man, I think the best guitar for your money is going to be an ESP: LTD. ESP just came out with some pretty kick ass new models this year. I highly suggest that you look into them. They are under 700 bucks, and they are such good quality for the price. They are, in my opinion, worth more than what they cost. Check out www.espguitars.com

Also take a look at a jackson, they are also pretty sweet. www.jacksonguitars.com

Both of those companies will offer you a better instrument than fender. The Peavey wolfgang is a cool guitar, but it is kinda boring. The tremolo isn't recessed, which I don't really like. A floyd rose is more fun recessed.

I loooooove my EVH Wolfgang Standard! It plays beyond sweet. But is more than $700 unless you can find one used.

What ever you buy, buy quality tools. A guitar is a tool to make music and the most important piece of equipment you buy. Put your money there first.

I meant the "wolfgang special" (just forgot add it in), and I would probably buy the standard used if I could find one that was in decent shape

I've played wolfgangs. Cool guitars. I played one that was setup pretty poorly, so playing it was weird feeling. It had awesome tone, but it didn't seem hot enough for me. Might also be due to poor setup as well. Though, I still love the ESPs and Jacksons.

Well I went to check out the wolfgang a few days ago, and it was very impresive, little noise, awsome tone, very low action (no fret buzz either). I'll probably buy one.
