I'm considering getting a bass sometime this summer so I won't have to bum my friends' from them when I want to record. So I figure I'll get a cheap bass, probably one from Rondo Music since their stuff is a steal.

I record by connecting my guitar amp to my PC. I know I CAN connect a bass to the computer, but would it sound very good on a cheap bass? I can post EQ it too, so that's not an issue.

Great cause I'm not planning on using it to play live or anything. I just need something I can lay down a track for my songs with.
