i would say the thunderbird is better.
the goth thunder bird might have better pickups

Haven't tried either myself. A good place for if you want more opinions - harmonycentral.com then click on user reviews. You can browse by manufacture and look up the models see how they compare to each other according to what ppl have rated them. This goes for anyone else whose looking for a new bass/electric guitar, amp or pickups.

MusicMan Stingray = coolest bass ever created. Not cheap however.

Thunderbirds look pretty cool, especially when played by the guy in The Darkness.

DONT GET THE FLYING V!!!
especially if you EVER play sitting down, it is the most god-awful thing to do, its sooo uncomfortable to play sitting down, it falls all over u, unless your like famous and only play standing on a stage dont get it
