duncan custom vs the custom custom

i just went today to the music shop to get my new pickups but the guy recommended me to get the custom custom instead of the duncan custom to go along with the pearly gates in the neck because he said both the custom custom and the pearly gates use alnico magnets while the custom uses ceramic.
im just wonderin what the custom custom is like compared to the custom and whether it matters if you have one pickup with ceramic magets and one pickup with alnico. thanks

I have the custom and love it. My rhythm guitarist has the custom custom. The custom custom sounds good, but I like the custom better. That guy is stupid. I'd say get the alncio II pro for the neck.
