Fix this problem, PUUULEEEEASE!!! I keep writing out full explanations with research links that takes buttloads of time to do, and I go to post and it tells me my cookies are bad!!! It happens on different PC's, so I know that it is not my problem. I hate trying to replicate what I have already typed just to have it zapped into cyberspace never to be seen again!

FIX IT!

Thank You.

:D

You know, if I had a solution I would fix it for God sake, but I don't. The forum programmer say it is not their problem, my host says it is not their problem. I don't have the cookie problem myself. I saw it on one of my other computers, and after deleting the cookies once I never saw it again.

Write your post in your email program or word processor first, that way you don't loose anything.

when the site stops working i just go up to 'Tools' > 'Internet Options' > 'Delete Cookies' and then try the site again and it always works. If you're losing your posts though that stinks, man. Save your explanations first before you post like he said i guess.

Yeah, all I ever have to do is delete my cookies, I've never really had that big of a problem (other than having to re-enter usernames and passwords but that only takes a matter of a couple seconds)

There IS a problem. You shouldn't have to delete your cookies. This is the only forum with cookies, out of the numerous many I belong to, that does this crap of losing the cookie information and the only way to correct it is to remove them all so that you can log back in again. After ditching all my cookies I have to re-log back into every other forum I belong to and rember different passwords, etc. It's very annoying...but you know me, I ain;t complaining ;)

Same problem here.

I just hate it whenever I have a long reply and hit enter it tosses me off like a wet blanket and then deletes my post.

It may not be THEIR problem, but they need to do something about it. I'm trying to contact the owner of another VBB-type board who had this same problem and FIXED it. I'll keep you informed, but in the meantime your programmer should be replaced!

And yes, I should have known better since it started happening. I will cut and paste from now on.

As I PM'ed before (in case that doesn't work) Timeout for Cookies = 600, and also there is some problem with the guitarlodge scripting. Maybe one of your pop-ups is bad.

Since I have set the cookie timeout to 600, has this solved the problem?

It's still happenning here too.

Somehow I get stuck in a loop that tells me to delete my cookies then I login again then get the same message to delete my cookies.

This happens like 3-4 times in a row then I just quit.

I especially hate it when I provide a long reply and then the message doesn't get posted (as previously stated by someone else) and is lost.

To tell the truth I am already thinking this message will not make it either. Or course after it does then I am just surprise.

I can't tell where the problem is, but it happens on this computer (at work) and at the hotels computer. With that said it itsn't the computer but something else causing the problem.

used to happen to me all the time when i used aols web browser. then one day it wouldnt let me log in, and i started using internet explorer, which did it too, until one of the cookies from this site hijacked my browser to some filthy sites...so i started using netscape and it doesnt happen anymore

OKAY. Now even when I delete all my cookies and temp files it repeats the message. I couldn't log in at all 'cause I couldn't leave that screen.

Your popup script is still corrupt. You gotta get rid of that wipe ad banner, man!!! I be that or one of the other ads is your problem. I too got redirected to a site that was inappropriate for my firewall.

DON'T CLICK ON THE BANNERS, EVEN TO CLOSE THEM!!!

Somebody must be hacking the site then!

You probably have some sort of adware installed as a browser plugin. There is no one hacking the site and showing pop up ads. The main Cyberfret.com site is running some pops, but not here in the forum.

Yeah, I think it must be some kind of adware, I usually get some ads but I just ran some maintenance (virus and spyware/adware removers) and now I'm getting none, my computer is running smoother than ever.

If you don't have any kind of spyware protection on your computer, gimme a PM, IM me, ask whatever, I'll give a link that I just got that helped me out enormously.

Yeah I've gotten that ad a couple times but only when my comp is acting up and I have to go through cyberfret to get here.

Apparently, you're using generic blockers. Either you have really well-hidden data miners (or something similar) or you're not using software similar to Adaware that actually KILLS parasites like that.

If Shawn says no ads are running, no ads are running. Even if somebody hacked the site, Shawn could just change it back and change the password. And why would hackers care about adds?

That must be my problem then. I bookmarked the index, so I'll see if that works. I just got 2 more ads after I swept my machine and came here. The cookies are still bad.
