Sup, now I've read all the threads (most of them) about what I'm gunna post about. but yeah, lol.
I've had my tube amp for about 1 month now... how many more months should wait till I get new tubes. How much longer will they last. More importantly, how much will they cost? I know it might depend on the types of tubes.
Also, I've got a pretty good guitar, a pretty awesome bass, pretty awesome guitar amp. I'm not playing the bass much, so I'm using my 15 watt guitar amp for my bass =] Now I don't think I need a bass amp (coz I'm not using it much). I really want to get a new guitar... but I wanna get new pickups for my existing guitar. I really wanna get both, lol. But I also want to get a chorus pedal and a Wah pedal. Lol, I want alot of stuff. I'm not really asking what I SHOULD get. But I'm just wondering what other people would do in my situation.
Oh yeah, and please help me out with the tubes situation

Stock tubes usually suck. But they will be good for another year or so. The power tubes will need to be changed in a year, you can wait 2 years to change your preamp tubes. I don't know what amp you have, or how many and what kind of tubes you have so I can't tell you how much it's gonna cost.
If I was you I would get a new guitar, don't put more money into your existing guitar unless you absolutley love how it feels and plays.

thanx man
so when I replace the tubes I can expect them to last another year or so?
oh and thanx for the advice on the guitar... I never thought about how it feels and plays. I might get the music store to set me up with a little higher action. I think thats the problem atm.
Any suggestions on a guitar??? hehe. I'm looking to get a Jackson RR-1. Man that is a sweet guitar. I heard jackson stock pickups suck tho... so I better save up even more. There are no ESP dealers in New Zealand =[[[

I find myself WANTING something constantly! Right now I WANT new tubes. The peavey stock tubes are pretty sad, it sounds good, but I can do better. Just don't go in debt because of your gear. Bankrupt guitarist with sweet equipment is worse off than an OK off guitarist with decent equipment, IMHO.
I've got lots of GAS, in all respects, damn Mercedes-Benz and Taco Bell!

Its better off when you are a RICH ass snobby person. Then you can buy almost anything.

If I was filthy rich, I don't think I'd go buy up everything out there. There are lots of guitars and amps I would love to have, so I would probably buy those, but I wouldn't go buy a guitar just because I feel like it. I would get something I would use and would have fun with. It's always cool to get a project guitar, you know fixing it up. I'd have lots of project guitars if I was rich, it keeps you from getting bored.

No, best thing to do if you were rich is to build your OWN guitars. Then you could TRY to market them and get more money.
