i am new here, was wondering if this is the place where everyone posts whatever they want, a general discussion forum?

Hmmm..well I can't speak for everyone but I wouldn't want this forum to be clogged up by inane drivel like other guitar forums, naming no names....Tabcrawler, H.C, oops that just slipped out, hehe.

However, I don't mind talking about other things but it's just that, that's where arguments usually begin to creep in (Religion and sensitive topics like that.)

Maybe people could post and say if they mind or not, cos at the moment we haven't got such a thing. Shawn, what do you think?

I specifically did not create a general discussion forum for the very reason that I don't want these forums to become like......cough...tabcrawler....:) So even though some not music related topics do come up, this is primarily place to hang out and talk about guitar and music related topics. I think that there are enough chat rooms, general forums, etc out there in cyberspace to keep everyone happy.....so I don't really want more of the same here.

But welcome Grunger, take a look around and you will see what these forums are about. I think you will find them a little different than some of the other so called "guitar forums".

Welcome dude. Ask as MANY questions relating to guitar as you want (as long as there appropriate). Weve got the mod for the gear forum ESP_Viper, who is pretty cool, and weve got Shawn, who is in charge of this place.

This is a guitar/music forum. The Fender general disscussion forum has everything from NASCAR fans gloating to asking for girlfriend problem advise. I come here 'cause I live eat/sleep/breath guitar and assosiated subjects.
There is a forum for everybody out there. This one is for musicians and their peers to discuss their love "music".
If you cat dies, unless you are planning to use his guts for strings, don't bring us down with the bad news.
