Okay old debate but what's your opinion? I'm not really big on effects but use my POD's delay/compression and try the others occassionally. Love my QTRON analog filter envelope and wah too. BUT, would I be better off with several separate boxes or should I get the new boss GT-6 combo or similar processor?? Seems I'd save money with the combo but are their sounds as good??

It depends on the combo itself. But what I say is go to the shop and try out as many as you can. That way you can tell which one you want.

i personally prefer separate boxes because the effects are better.
my opinion.
fx boxes usually have a load of wierd stuff that i dont always use so its usually like money wasted.
but again, my opinion

Well, I get the feeling that you are looking for sound quality of sound quantity. So for that indivual effects are going to give you better sounds and tones than a multi-effect unit can.

If you were someone who doesn't know much about effects, don't a lot of money, or want lots of effects, or all of the above the multi-effect units are going to be best for you. I am not an effects person, so I personally would go with separate effects units.

Thanks guys.. I'm leaning toward a few individual boxes. May dump the POD and get a delay, distorion/driver and compressor. I wondered if there's a link to an Editor's Pick type summary somewhere. Thanks!!!
