I think Bjork is great! and Nelly Furtado is surprisingly good!

Goodness, I feel isolated enough by being the only die-hard Neal Schon-aholic in Cyberfret Country. Do I really want to alienate myself further? :D
Well, let's see here... I get a lot of grief from people when they find out I'm a pretty big Loverboy fan... (yeah, I know, this is another group that the kids today will be saying "Who?")
Back in 1981-82, Journey was touring for their Escape album, and Loverboy was along as the opening act for their own album Get Lucky.
(But NO, I didn't get to go to that show either, dadgummit!!!)

O.K, O.K I'll confess. I like Bon jovi. Well alright, it's not that bad because it's only 2 songs - Living On a Prayer and Allways.
But there is a reason for it, an ex girlfriend used to like Bon Jovi a lot and I mean a LOT so to appease her I would have to listen to it aswell.
Please forgive me :D
Way back when....Bon Jovi was one of the biggest groups around!
I was also into them in a big way.
i went to see them twice in the late 80's early 90's and they were awsome!
no apologies or confessions needed.
funny thing is i dont listen to them now.
P.S i can remember richie sambora coming on stage with a guitar with three necks!!!

I'm not ashamed to like these bands, but they are definately bands that I people wouldn't think I liked.

Beetles
Bee Gees
Groove Armada
Some Boyzone songs
and thats about it
The Fury

Hey smfulla, which Boyzone songs are they? If it's the cover versions, then I would recommend checking out the originals by people like Tracy Chapman, Bee Gees or Catt Stevens. If its not the cover versions, then you need your head looking at :D ,only joking.

I never thought i'd see Boyzone on the list but..i used to be a fan...before...a long time ago..hehe:rolleyes:
I was also a Bon Jovi fan..actually i listened to anything and everything, and i never limited myself to one genre or style of music,as i do (sorta) now.
i'm not really *ashamed* of anything i listen to now..except maybe the Priestly thing..lol
Honestly who can listen to 'You ain't nothin' but a hound dog'..without getting up to dance?:D

People, if it's one thing I've learned in my life, It's not to be ashamed of the styles of music you like. Music is made by people for people. All these styles are out there now, nearly anything you need to fit whatever mood you are in at the time. I get into pop tunes like ABBA, then swing all the way over to groups like TOOL or Puddle of Mudd. It's all there for you to pick & choose to fit your mood. If you are ashamed of your mood, switch the music to change your 'tude. It's just that simple for me.
Backstreet Boys, anyone? LOL
I want it that way, Tell me why.....
Boys 2 Men
Soundgarden
John Lee Hooker
Michael Schenker
King Crimson
Hoku
It's all good to me...
What a geek, huh? Yeah I know.....

Okay...So, I AM a metal fan, really, I mean it. But here's a couple of guilty pleasures;
Something Corporate (they're sooo weak...but I like em)
Horrorpops (okay so I don't like what she sings about, but her voice is cool and their guitar, although simple, sounds good)
Metal fans everywhere are gonna call me a poser now. :( The test did say I am a True Metal Fan though!

you see thats just it... none of that sort of stuff has surfaced. If he was a definite paedo the child porn pics would have surfaced by now. Or the physical sexual scars. etc
BUt the only stuff thats surfaced is the children's parents throwing out accusations months after their kids were at his 'playhouse'.
Who knows tho...

Heh, this thread may be getting old but I'm curious to know if anyone listens to the Darkness. Lots of people hate them and make fun of them for the vocals thing but I think they rock and are among the best new bands in recent memory.:)
Anyway, I used to listen to some stuff like Blink and Sum41 but then I got into classic rock and will never leave.

heard a few darkness songs, have friends who say they kick ass, so i dont hate em!
I was thinking while reading that I don't know anything to be ashamed of in my music... but then I remembered the two Modern Talking tapes I bought years ago and loved... haven't listened to them ages... so despite not exactly knowing what it's like I think it's krapp :P
