HI everyone

I was wondering if anyone on here has bought any guitar stuff picks amps etc by way of mail order or over the net. If you have I would like to know the good companies you have delt with and where you found out about them. The reason why I want to know is I am seriously thinking about buying some stuff from Musicians Friend and another company that I forget the name of right now. I am buying just to give you more detals a pug puller, picks etc small little things that I could not find at the local guitar shops. Any information would be of great help to me and many other people. :)

Thanks a million for the help

yup i have!

i havent made any major purchases....just accessories, repair materials, picks, strings, and a chromatic tuner....
ive bought from 3 different companies...
so far i liked musicians friend the best...

zZounds.com seemed to have stocking problems...they sent everything in separate packages over a few weeks time...was kinda dumb..if you ask me....

stew-mac.com was fine....i bought my repair materials from them...and i recieved my package right away...the only thing is they seemed to be a bit high on their shipping/handling fees...

musicians friend was really the best i think....they did send one thing separately because they were out...but it came the very next day after the rest of my stuff....everything came within a week of my ordering it...and the shipping costs werent too bad...

i guess i have a hangup when it comes to shipping...i suggest when you do order....pick up a few things you know youll hafta buy soon anyways...to make it more worth paying for it all to be shipped...you can get strings at musicians friend pretty cheap (just an idea)

Musician's Friend is great. I've only gotten effects pedals from there, but I'll be getting and amp and stuff from there soon. My friend got his bass and stuff from there. Very good service.

I've purchase a number of items from Musicians Friend for both guitar and piano. All my experiences with them have been very good.
Just a note: I have also found that most local music stores will match the Musicians Friend prices if you take the Musicians Friend catalogue into the store with you.

Also, if you're looking for sheet music or song books I have found Sheetmusic Plus to be a great place deal with.

I use www.piedog.com for my stuff i found it recommended in Total Guitar magazine so far i've bought an adaptor for my effects pedal some strings and a tuner.

Everything arrived whithin about 3 days and was in great condition so i'd definatly recommend them.

I order from stu-mac most of the time. I have had pretty good luck with them. I have ordered for musicians friend before the are good too. The product and support that I get from both is more than acceptable. Both have been very timely in shipment, and the prices have been good as well. Can't go wrong with either.

I think on line is good for things like picks and strings but I like to feel the goods first I dont think i would buy a guitar or amp on line or mail order even if the savings were good you cant get the feel of a picture
