Ive tried to use a pick to strum to pick notes etc, but I dont like it - especially to strum with. It just doesnt feel right. I usually use my pointy finger (cant remember the proper name) so that I can use my other fingers to finger pick in the same song, if I want to. I like the feel of my fingers on the strings. The problem is, that my finger nail on that finger gets worn down and sore - sounds all muffled when I strum. I was just wondering: is there anything you can attach to your finger (that might act like a finger nail)? Any other suggestions?

When I fingerpick and then want to strum a few chords I'll either use my thumb, grab the strings with all fingers and pluck, or grab the pick I placed in my mouth ready to play.
I seen people finger pick with the middle, ring and pinky then use a pick with the thumb and index finger. This is probally the best way.
Peace!

:) Thanks. I'll try all those suggestions - that pick looks pretty funky but it might just do it!
