I pick with a bit of an angle, especially when palmmuting. Does this matter much , what do you think about the palmmuting situation?
If you read this, please respond with some thought or what your picking angle is in the different situations.
Thanks

Check this out www.guitarprinciples.com/Guitar_Technique/Slant.htm
I personally allways slant the pick.

Thanks, I just read that 5min ago=) I do the same, try playing some fast metal song with lots of palmmuting on the open E without slanting! Much more difficult I would say.
But I also read this:
"The pick should be perpendicular to the plane of the strings and parallel to the strings themselves. In other words, don't angle the pick."

This article was the one which caused the confusion...

I've just read that second article. I can't agree with the part about being parallel to the strings. But you do want your pick to be at a 90 degree angle to the strings (if your guitar was lying on the floor, the pick would be dead straight up in the air) otherwise your pick will get caught under the strings.

Well, depends on I think, if you play on the acoustic or electric. On the acoustic I usually angle the pick that way to.
