I happen to like them, this isnt based on any experience because i have yet to own one, i was just wondering what people thought about them

Yep, I once asked the guy in my guitar store about them and he said that they're "quite the best guitars out there". and expensive as hell.

sweet...that only means left handed ones will be the most expensive things ever haha...looks like ill know how good they are when im 30

Gretsch guitars rock... when i was in university a guy in our band had one and it was awesome... you can get that wicked Soundgarden tone...easy...

but yes, expensive...

...oh...and this depends on your personal taste in headstocks of course... but to me some Gretsch headstocks are ugly as sin... but who cares right... sound is better than looks

definately, i love them for their sound, you can kinda reproduce it with effects processors..but its nothing like the real thing
