Ive been playing for several months and i thought i had basic chord changin nailed ages ago. Today i noticed that in between chords i often play the last strum before playing the next chord on all open strings while my left hand gets in position.

Its barely noticable but it doesnt seem like something a good guitar player would do. Is this normal when changin chords?

It's perfectley "acceptable" and makes chord changes easy. Check out this lesson, part of the Techniques section:

ok cool. Is it something i shoyuld try and fix as i get better?

No, it's fine. If you didn't do it, chord changes would become 'staccato' or 'choppy' and not run smoothley.
