ok dude, you can get harmonics anywhere on the fretboard without doin pinch harmonics.
All you do (it takes practice) is put your finger on a note, and tap the same note an octave up
ex: lets say you put your index on the third fret of the lil's e string, now keep your finger there, and tap the 15th fret (the actual fret) you may have to tap hard, but it's really cool once you get it.

really you can get harmonic anywhere. it all depends on volume, distortion and the type of guitar you have. if you have a beginner guitar you probably can only get a few like 5th, 7th, 12th, 16th, and 19th. but once you get something like a PRS you can go pretty much everywhere
