I will soon be buying a new amp a Marshall AVT 100 and have put aside the cash for it
but now the problem is I have just had a play with a Fender Cybertwin and fell in love, this is a fantastic amp and I can sound like all the greats of guitar (well maybee not )
what i req is a good excuse to give my other half (She don't like me spending cash on guitar's and stuff) as to how I justify spending double the cost of the Marshall
can any one help with a good excuse

Have you ever tried the Line 6 POD? I got one not too long ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. I will soon be getting the floorboard for it and a reference amp. The POD doesn't do too well with guitar amps, the EQ's on both conflict and make it difficult to get that sound that you are looking for. The reference amp has no EQ so it will just amplify the POD's signal, not make any changes or coloring to it. It will all be going into my Marshall JCM900 1960A 4x12 cabinet.

So I guess those 25 cent plastic rings that come in the machines at grocery stores are out of the question then?:D
