I ask this quetion because today I tried to get to the user guitar leasons, and it didnt work! The whole reason I was going to the stupid lesons is because I submited a leson and wanted to now if it had showed up yet.Of corse this made me angry with the web site and I didn't post anything for that reason. :annoyed: So anyway would you know anything about why the lesons arent working.

The submission form is working fine, but none of your lessons have been approved. You did not read the submission guidelines.

Submission Guidelines
http://www.guitarlodge.com/guitar-lessons/submit.php

1. Your tablature is upside-down......the 6th string should be the bottom line and the 1st string the top.
2. You used all capital letters in your text.......again see the guidelines for submission.
3. Spelling......I am a very bad speller myself, that is why I use spell check on everything......even this reply.
4. The content of your lesson was not teaching anything.

Quote from the lesson submission guidelines

"Not all lessons will be approved. But if you have knowledge to share and you have followed the directions above, you should see the lesson listed within a couple of days....sometimes sooner."

In the future feel free to email me (shawn@guitarlodge.com) with concerns like this rather than post them. If you would like me to delete this post I would be glad to.

If you feel you have some knowledge to share, feel free to make a lesson submission again. Follow the guidelines, and have something to teach other guitarists.

Look Mr.sean you need to loosen the rules to submiting tabulature.I have tried to submit stuf but it never works out because these stupid rules you made.    now can you please just losen the upsidedown tabulature and knowladge rules. And the ballad I submited does give useful information,it taeches people how to play a simple ballad. Some people dont know what a ballad is. :(

May I suggest being a little less abrasive toward the man who has the power to ban you from the forums?

So here it goes again.

I would apretiate if you were to loosen the rules of posting tabulature.I have two rules spacificly I do not agree with, for instance I think it would be nice if posting tabs upsidedown could be optional. And i think that when we post tabulature we should only have to give the information of how to play the song. One last thing is that I think that my lesson was providing a way of teaching ballads, wich is good because some people dont know what a ballad even is.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Why do you think you should be allowed to post tab upside down, how will that help anyone? That would just serve to confuse people, tab is standardized for a reason, so everyone can read and write it.

Shawn has given you some constructive criticism, I suggest you listen to him and rewrite you lessons. Everyone else seems to have no problem following the guidelines, so you shouldn't have a poblem either. I highly doubt Shawn is just going to change the rule to fit you idiocyncracies, especially when it's not going to help anyone...

ROFLMGDAO!

Wow, talk about stomping into a minefield wearing clown shoes!

Did you really expect to submit upside down tablature?

Sweet crap, man.

What would it say about the forum Sean put all this work (and money) into in the spirit of sharing music and helping people learn about their passion...if you were *ALLOWED* to submit upside-down tablature? And what does it say about you to be attacking him for having reasonable standards?

:D There are websites out there
that allow you to post upside down tabs.
This just isn't one of them. :D

just losen the upsidedown tabulature and knowladge rules.
you know i was thinking we should post in the standard Greek alphabet, too. ;)
(internet sarcasm)

Dude come one what the heck is your problem. You come here as a privelage and then start demanding stuff. Even if/when your demands are phrased as requests they are ridicilous. Like people have said there is a standard notation for a reason you don't use roman numerals in math i bet you live with that... you should learn to live with this too.

Now I am going to ask nicely that you PLEASE STOP SUBMITTING LESSONS! Until you have learning more do not submit anything more. You are not following the guidelines and your information is incorrect. I am not going to approve incorrect information that does not fit the guidelines I have outlined. Period.

Thank you so very much for the great thred Mr. Man! My very first day here (in the forum) and I have already had some laughs! I'd be willing to bet you let yours swing low...maybe you should tighten that strap and get on board...as a newbie, upside down tab would totally confuse matters. The lessons I have used from this site are great! The fact that there is so much here for FREE is something to be greatful for. That fact that the lessons have some standards is refreshing. Thanks Shawn for this great place and sticking to your guns. :D
