Wow, I had to ban 3 people in one day.

It has been a while since I have had to ban anyone, and today 3 got the axe. I have been considering having a couple of mods. I have resisted this in the past. But more troops may be needed to secure the peace. If you are interested, and have a good reputation here at GuitarLodge email me at shawn@guitarlodge.com. not me.. i would abuse my power. plus im lazy. plus my rep prolly isnt so good after saying so much crap about hendrix.

all good candidates so far but wait till the power is in their hands. personalities could change. :)

if i had to vote i would say fizz (though all good candidates) coz of his discipline not to get involved in crappy threads trying to reprimand ppl which is one of the reasons you make a good moderator Shawn. Plus you dont want ppl who threaten to ban ppl all the time (even if they do it sarcastically in my opinion) . I dont like ppl telling me they are superior and even when ppl do it to me sarcastically they are still reminding me of their superiority and it would annoy me.

I agree that xxjohnboy should stop badmouthing Hendrix, but he's young and has a lot to learn. All the modern players are just imitators of the man, just like there was only one Beethoven.

There was a time (I was there) when Jimi was the only one who played like he does then Robin Trower fell into his groove after Procol Harem.

And the only real shredders played jazz. Come to think of it it REALLY was a better time because there wasn't any disco either. :D

Thanks for the responses from everyone. A lot of the people who have volunteered for duty are those that I have already thought about, but didn't know if they would be interested. I have to look over the software and see how the mods work, and I will start emailing everyone individually over the next week. There are a lot of individual forums here, so I will split them up so that no one person is overwhelmed.

i think i am still more comfortable just reporting the post to someone...ive been in "positions of power" before...and found it turned into more of a "job" than something i enjoyed....
ive let a few slip by here recently mostly cuz i havent been around as much and i guess i was trying to not be so sensitive...but i got a feeling i know what the banning was over...and i say GOOD! glad you caught up to them...

Yea, Pop would probably be good cuz he's here all the time. I come here pretty much 5 out of 7 days a week, but never have a good browse, obv if I was a mod I'd look through everything but I'm not at the moment, so no need!

there arnt really any flame wars and besides some crazy new people lately their arnt any jerks. i like every one here

THis forum is ultimately a dictatorship not a democracy which is good with a good dictator. as long as the people who end up being shawns underlings dont abuse the power it should be all good.
