with funk you need to keep things light...use a light to medium pick and get one with a grippie on it...it costs more but it is worth it!
part of the funk is the pick not accenting everything you hit....so move to a lighter pick...and if it slips...make it move back.... :D

Wow. Your lessons are awesome, thank you so much for posting them. It takes me about 2 hours to download each one but it is very worth it. If I ever get to be half as good as you are I would be happy...lol :D

your funk lesson is good but for the beginner your fingers move a little fast but it is by far better than some of the many dvd i own what are the solo notes for sly :rolleyes:
