This stems from a musical discussion I had with my dad- what are the five most influential bands of all time?
My list- (in chronological order)
1. Buddy Holly & The Crickets
2. The Beatles
3. The Rolling Stones
4. Metallica
5. Nirvana

What do you think?

I cant do this just on bands, so Ive put in individuals as well

1. Elvis
2. Bob Dylan
3. Velvet Underground
4 Led Zepplin
5 Bob Marley & the Wailers

When I thought about this I thought purely about influence, not quality. (probably left out someone important. Well...)

Buddy Holly
Beatles
Jimmi Hendrix
Ramones
Nirvana

I was trying to think of bands that did a 180 on what everyone else was doing in their time frame. Obviously I had to leave out a lot of good bands/artists.
