I was wondering how to write or obtain that beach rock sound (hmmm, don't really know any bands, but I'm thinking about stuff like the Pulp Fiction intro and definately NOT the Beach Boys). Maybe some of you know...
1. Which Key, Mode, Scales
2. Which Chords
3. How to get that clicking sound (ska?)
and last of all maybe some tabs you could direct me to?

Well I am asking for Beach Riffs, what modes they use and scales (I presume it's a bluesy one).
Think Pulp Fiction Main Theme, Apache by the Shadows, Surfin' Riffs and songs and tricks...

The Sufaris Wipeout
The Tornados Bustin' Surfboards
Dick Dale Night Rider / Misorlou
The Lively Ones Pipeline
You should find tabs for these songs at tabcrawler or olga

The most essential thing about surf guitar is tremelo picking. I tihnk there's a lesson on it here at cyberfret, but I'm not sure.
