What's the thing below a persons username that says like 1st fret?

It goes by the number of posts you have. I don't remember the exact numbers offhand (they're on the forums somewhere, I think in the FAQ section.)

Under the old forum, once someone got to 5,000 posts, they could change their title to something custom (which is why mine isn't a fret number,) but I don't think the new forum allows us to do that. Treyjo, 55Gibby and myself are all mods, so that's why their title says "moderator) and Shawn's (cyberfret) has his title because he runs these forums.

the more you post the higher fret you will reach....this does not mean anything though, for the most part people will not judge you for which fret you are on. (so dont make pointless posts to boost your fret level, because that is frowned upon)

It's not just frowned upon, it's against the forum rules. We're all guilty of doing it once in a while but don't make a habit out of it.
