I don't have a guitar stand,i just lean my guitar against the wall, facing outwards.Yesterday it fell flat on it's face, and the back of the neck has a huge crack. It's like a smile, the ends just about to touch the edge.It looks like it's gonna reach the fretboard. This hasn't harmed the guitar playing-wise,but do you think the crack will get to the fretboard? And if so,is there a way where i can sorta fix this?(Other than obviousely buying a case and a guitar stand)Or should i just leave it as it is?

Take a good woodglue and glue it together. but make sure that you clamb it togheter for a couple of days because else it will be not exactly fit.
BTW. this only works if the pieces fit exactly togheter. If they do not, bring it to an expierenced technician, because then you have to get a new neck.

Yeah I'd say take it to a professional guitar store.
If you glue it and do it wrong, itll just be worse and harder to fix.

this type of thing used to happen to Ibanez guitars alot....they would crack around the headstock area for what it seemed was like no reason at all....hence the term Ibeenhad....lol....normally taking it to the guitar shop and having them order a new neck was the best way to go....i can't count the number of times i seen this happen.
I wouldn't play Ibanez for years because of it....I've been watching mine very very closely....lol

Well, if that crack is too small then don't try to force it open to stick the glue in there. I'd say get as much play out of it now, and get a new neck. Unless one of the tech guys (ESP or 55'gibby or cyberfret or anyone else who knows about this stuff) says something else.

what kinda neck is it (bolt on, attached, thru). you arent going to fix it yourself. a crack in the wood of a guitar is NEVER a good thing. I would start looking at getting a new neck. de-tune your guitar a half (at least) step, then start calling repair shops. I don't know anything about your guitar, or how attached you are to it, but this may be a time to consider a new guitar (if the broken one is a low end model, and you don't really like it.), there is no sense in throwing good money (about $150ish US) into a $200 dollar guitar. if it is a bolt on neck you might be able to replace it yourself, but the other two I would say take it in. just make sue that it's a crack in the wood and not a crack in the finish. take it in and have a tech look at it.
let me know how it turns out.

The crack is actually in the wood and not the finish, and the neck is attached.I love my guitar but to be honest,200 dollars is a little more than its worth.
What i did was put a bandaid on it :) (i'm aware of how useless that is) and i play it sometimes, sounds okay, and i'm not sure if it's my imagination, but the crack seems to be growing wider and it's going round,so it's just reached the fretboard. There's a tiny crack in the fret board now, around the second fret.Sound like i definately need a new neck huh? or a new guitar.I'd probably go with the latter.
thanks guys.

just a matter of time before it breaks all together.
