Shawn,
A lot of us here use programs like Guitar Pro4, Sibelius and others to notate songs and create lesson plans. I know I do! I realize that if you were to create an addition to the site that would allow for posting of these file formats it would be rather expensive (bandwidth, etc.). However, if some of us were to pay you directly for this, would you be interested? I'd definitely pay you for this service, regardless of cost. Writing out detailed lessons and accurate transcriptions is very hard to do with the tab format allowed in your forums.
If you were to go for this, I'm sure you could set hard-core rules governing the uploading of any of these types of files, including a size limit; accuracy of transcriptions and/or information provided; not uploading any copyrighted or previously used material; even having people Zip the files up to conserve on bandwidth.
I know the answer will probably be no, but if you ever do decide on something like this... some of us here will pay for the extra bandwidth ;)
