It would be nice to have a forum where everyone can record their music and share it with other people to see what they think, and if there is a forum where this currently goes on a lot then which one is it?

actually down at guitarnoise.com
they have a forum like that its not that bad
i like it
its usefull
the music lounge here is kind of like just a place to talk about music in general
but i think that if everyone knew were to put their recordings right off the bat they would get reviews faster
for example
i posted a song today in electric guitar
is it in the wrong place?, not really, it could have gone other places, maybe improv, maybe mousic lounge
either way no body replied
why maybe because it got buried by every thing else that is put in there
and once it goes to page two, which could happen in a couple of days forget about
it would be a great addition to the forums
alot of people would get more advice about their playing because their threads wont get buried
over all it would definatly benifet everyone
agreed?
Yes, you could go there whenever you felt like listening.
...
*goes to see recording*

We've had threads suggesting other forums before (recording, vocals, drums, lyrics, etc.) Having all those separate forums is unnecessary, they will get little to no traffic.
The Music Lounge is for "Anything and Everything Music," which encompasses all of the above topics.
If you have a recording that you want critiqued, you should put it in the Music Lounge. If there's a question about recording equipment, put it in the "Gear" forum.
Shawn has been reluctant to add separate forums in the past and I don't see any other forums being added anytime soon.
Hmmm... I can see why, this site doesn't have many regs... and Splitting them up further wouldn't help the site much... But A recording Forum would really only unite threads that have been posted all over...
However, recordings aren't very common, and the forum might be useless till someone goes on a binge... BUT!!! If people started recording more because of it...
Depends how everyone reacts to it.
