View Full Version : my guitar wants to kill your mama
I've just bought a video of G3 (Satriani, Vai and Johnson live in concert). At the end they all play a song called "my guitar wants to kill you mama". Does anyone know where I can get the tabs for this?

Well you know... its originally by Zappa (unless someone else did it even before HIM)

I love that song too, and as far as I know, Zappa was the original songwriter for that
I hope also that you guys know that Steve Vai has appeard on many of Zappas records, and was a part of his band (if I recall correctly). I read somewhere that Vai actually put together the way the song was played on the G3 concert or somewhere?
Neway, I reckon you should try and figure out the rhythm yourself, then make up some of your own solos, or just jam to it during those parts
Its alot of fun when you get a band together and play it.
Yeah you're right smfulla, the way Vai plays the song is different (and way better) than the way it's done by Zappa. Steve Vai was a transcriber for Frank Zappa at the Boston institute of music or something. Zappa was impressed and employed the 19 year old in his band for "strat abuse and impossible guitar parts".
