Mic Question

Bought a shure sm57 mic yesterday. Do i need some hardware in order to plug it into my computer. Please suggest the best/inexpensive route to the solution. I want to record my guitar amp.

I don't know the type of Mic, but my guess is that is is a dynamic mic. If it is, you can plug it in your PC with no problems. I record myself that way too when I'm home-recording. I for myself use wavelab and N-track to record, edit and mix. Have fun!!
