I've been looking around to try and find a guitar with the features I want but I'm not having much luck, I'm beginning to think I'll be continuously disappointed.

Here are the features I want:

1. Strat style body and headstock - so many Strat copies out there with ugly looking headstocks.
2. 24.75 inch scale length - hard to find on anything but a Les Paul copy.
3. Hard Tail bridge - I HATE trem's.
4. Neck through body.
5. String through body.
6. Pickgaurd - many people will wonder why, but I happen to like the look of them.
7. 3 single coils in the 'classic' Strat style.
8. Deep dish (Strat style) jack output socket.
9. 22 at least but preferably 24 frets.
10. Good quality wood, I like the look of quilted/flamed maple.
11. Sunburst or a see through finish.
12. Chrome hardware.

All that for less than £800 ???

Does anyone care to suggest anything or know where to start looking.

Thanks.

Maybe you want to get a fender american strat? What you put there is just a strat man. Or you can build one off warmoth.com.

Can't you just get a Fender American Strat?

Yeah, asthetically a standard Strat would be ideal but you just can't get them with a 24.75 in. scale length, neck through and 24 frets (the things that will actually make it play different to a Strat!)

Why dont you just build your own off of www.warmoth.com ?

you can talk about the type of guitar alll you want but you may find that guitar, play it and go ewwwwwwwwwwww.

It's just my opinion, i'm EXTREMELY picky about the guitars i play, some i won't even touch cause the just don't have the right "feel" you know? And if i'm thinkin about buyin a guitar, i have to play that one for many hours before i purchase it, at least 6 hours if not more just to be sure.

oh and neck through bodies may be good for sustain and all that, but if you break it, you gotta buy a whole new guitar...

The reason I posted this was to see if anyone knew of an 'off the shelf' guitar so I could actually play it. If I got a custom built guitar I wouldn't be able to play it, so like Black Star says it might fit into all my catogories but it might not play how I expect or want it to. I've played many guitars with maybe one or two of those features but not all together on one guitar.

just get yourself a PRS and be happy. I've never heard of anyone being dissapointed in them.
