Late delay?

Everytime when I record something thru the comp (Guitar-->Amp>Comp or Guitar--->Mic>Comp), it doesnt have the right time to record it. For instance, the 1st track I used to record was mainly riff. On the second 2nd track, I used it for just messing around with solos, but it gets the signal 2 seconds later... which sounds terrible and out of beat...Any thoughts?

Whatever software your using should have a timeshift feature. Use it to either speed up the second track or slow down the first track(time wise not meter wise) so they sync up properly. If the software you use doesn't have this feature, find some new software :p

No, but I do know that Audacity has a time shift feature if your using that...

It's the button with the line with two arrows pointing outward. You can use it to slide either of the tracks into sequence with the others.
