Any alternatives to POD???

Don´t know if this is the right forum, anyway, Im looking for a good "digital" box that will "grunge" and do some clean stuff also, for homerecording use, and was wondering if anyone had
any experience with other devices than the POD, they´d like
to share???

Behringer makes a modeling device similar to the POD....so does digitech.....I've heard the Behringer one is better than the POD and the digitech but i've never played one.
