One of the few lyrics I've written and have music to go with it. The verse has piano music, the chorus and solos I've written use a distorted electric guitar. Feel free to comment/critique ;)

-Awash-

Lights coming on,
Your picture on the wall
An empty bed
Until the bitter end
My feelings denied
Love not dignified
You love me, hate me
Our love a tragedy

Everything is,
Everything is,
Everything is
Pain
Everything is,
Everything is,
Everything is
Pain

We locked our lips
And stole each other’s breaths.
“I love you always”
Words echo in the wind
We’d hold each other tight
And never feel pain
But from this day on,
We’ll never be the same

Everything is,
Everything is,
Everything is
Pain
Everything is,
Everything is,
Everything is
Pain

Wash it all away
Wash it all away

Lights coming on,
Your picture on the wall
And empty bed
Until the bitter end
We’d hold each other high
And bleed our hearts dry
But one day it all changed
And we’ll never be the same.

…..Everything is pain……

Anybody?

I'd like to assume that the lack of criticism is because it's a perfect poem/lyrics, but we all know that's not true...

that's an impressive outpouring of emotion. i'd like to hear it the way you mean it to sound. also, am i to ascertain that your present girlfriend may not be "the one"?

I think my current girlfriend is actually "the one." I wrote this back in high school before I met her.

I could try and tab out the piano part so it can be played on the guitar but you'll need two guitars going.

How would it be sung...?

I can see this going really badly... or really well.

I have an idea as to how it's going to be sung, but I'm not quite sure yet.

I can tab out the piano part so it can be played on the guitar, but it might be tough to get an idea as to how it would sound, since yuo would need two guitars. If I have time later tonight I'll give it a shot.
