Wow, my first poster here in like three months, nice to see the addition of a recording forum. Anyways onto my question...

Im interested in making a few recordings of my own using FLS to make drum parts for them, but I am lost at how to determine the BPM of the material I have written. So I am wondering how do you guys go about finding the BPM of your songs so you can properly put a drum track to your songs?

Easiest thing i can think of is just mess with a metronome and see what feels right. If its already recorded its sliiightly harder.

I have this keyboard also, theres this button you press, and you press it with the beat of your song, and it tells you the bpm. But i'd have to agree, i think you should just mess with a metronome.

there is an easier way though but you need to be able to multi task inside your head.

once a beat starts rite like bbs(bas, bass, snare) count the snare 1 ...2...3..ect.
have a little stop watch or watch w.e pleases you and count those snare hits untill it gets to 10 seconds. now multiply this by six and u have your answer ..
I win.
