How do you guys record all the nice stuff?

is there an easy way without buying expensive software and guitarports and such

If you go to RadioShack, you can get a little 1/4" to 1/8" adapter that should go right into your computer's line in, even with no sound card or a low end one (I know it works, I have integrated audio :o ). Then download something like Audacity (I don't know the link, maybe someone else can help there) or another free recording program and there you go. Thats about as bare-bones as you can get, though for decent tone, you could get a cheap mic (you can get them for really cheap, albeit low quality) and mic your amp. You could also use the line out on your amp, if it has one. Thats about the cheapest way to record, let me know if that helps.
