This is a really nice song, and I enjoy it quite a bit, and if you do, too, you'll enjoy this.
I got a wild hair this evening and decided to play the song on my acoustic. I thought that perhaps I would have to alter some things (i.e. transpose certain powerchords to higher strings, etc.) to get the desired sound, but surprisingly, I did not. It sounded just fine as is. Now, I did see a tab for an "acoustic version" on mxtabs using major chords, but when I played it, it sounded...lacking, so the conclusion I came to was, dont change anything (simple, huh?).
I play it in drop-D tuning, and the chords are:
[ 0 0 0 3 2 x ]
[ 7 7 7 9 x x ]
[ 5 5 5 7 x x ]
Simple as that folks...but you will want to use a thicker pick because you need to make your palm-muted verses stand out...or, if you have an electric/acoustic..turn the volume up. :P
