I just want something to
record me for more than a minute
and also allow me to record certain bits now, certains bits tommorow and put it all together.
Can i get this program for free anywhere

Go on kazaa and get cool edit pro 2.0 I think they have been renamed to audacity now not sure. But at aleast on a file sharing programe your get the full version.

Cool Edit Pro is renamed to Adobe Audition and it's very easy to use...

Go for Audacity. Free and legal.
And by the way, jimmy, encouraging to use kazaa is a bit illegal. I'm not trying to act like your mother by telling you what to do on the internet (I've downloaded quite a few things myself), but someone might react a bit if you advertize for kazaa everywhere on the net.

I just used a program called kristal which I found a little complicated but had many features.

Audacity is good. You might also see if you can find Pro Tools Free, which is also good.
