Anyone have a Japanese strat? If so have you ever added locking tuners? have you ever tried putting one of those Fender Floyd bridges in?
Any help would be great, I have this guitar, and I like the sound but I hate the tuners and the bridge (its my back up now so I have time to tear it apart!!!)
Thanks

be careful with the locking machineheads... some of the posts (where the string attaches) can be rather short. I am not a tremelo guy, so you'll have to ask someone else about those

Thanks for the warning, I have tried to get advice from guitar techs but that's like pulling teeth most of the time!

Locking tuners are a good upgrade for it. A floyd would be difficult to do if the guitar is not routed out for a floyd. I find floyds pointless if they are not recessed. I'm not the most familiar with locking tuners, but my best advice is shop around!

yeah it seems like most guitar stores aren't good with locking tuners either!
I am going to get in touch with gotoh today to see if they make any
Thanks for help!
