if I'm correct, isn't the revolution, just a bandit with an extra channel? it might be best just to go with the bandit

played with a bandit the other week for the first time when i was jamming with a friend of mine in another local band, and i was quite impressed with it, not a bad amp.

does the distortion in the peavey have like a metal sounding one? or like a fuzz sounding one...?

In my opinion Peavey distortion is wonderful...I played with a Supreme160 half stack for years....best distortion I had ever heard until then....too bad they don't make those amps anymore.

i got a peavey 212 special. it has 3 channels. it plays really nice distortion, i dont use my petals anymore because of its great distortion. so im sure the 112 is preaty good too. personally i like the 212 better than the 112 but i would go with peavy as a brand name.

Peavy amps have metal distortion all the way. High gain is peavey all the way (except the classic series). I'd spend the extra cash for the extra channel. You will thank yourself when you play in a band. One more channel is a world of difference!

What do like about the second channel? I run directly through the PA alot and it, of course, has a lot of channels. I usually take 2, one for my electric and the other for my acoustic. Is that what you do?
I've never had an amp with 2 channels, just a PA.
Thanks!
Peace!
