i've been hearing alot of steve vai and joe satriani around here but ive never realy heard any of their songs. if i could get some songs that encompass alot of aspects of their music to download and find out if their music is something i would like i would be alot happier because this has been bugging me awhile.

I never heard any of there stuff either... 'cept I just d/l Steve Vai's Speed Metal Symphony and I must say great stuff.

also, don't forget 'little pieces of seaweed' by Vai. Pretty funny, and also, if you listen good, some good arpeggio's

For Satriani, ya gotta check out "Surfin with the Alien" But if I had to nail it down to 1 song of his, for me, it would have to be "Satch Boogie" Kind of a swing/rock thing w/ AWESOME guit leads.

For Steve Vai, ya should hear "Alien Love Secrets" All around a SICK CD! But my 1 tune from that would be "Bad Horsie" Makes the guitar sound like a horse on this one. He's AWESOME!

If ya like lead guitar, these are the guys to hear!!

Maybe my head is broken, but didn't satriani make the original Top Gun theme? Gonna check out the rest of his stuff, coolness ;)

Love those guys. Satriani has a way of piecing songs together like a jigsaw puzzle.
Take a look at their websites, I think you can downlaod and hear some of their music - or a video with Mr. Satriani himself.

Who the heck is Kenny Logins? STEVE STEVENS played the Top Gun Anthem and he won a Grammy for it! Talk about being the most underated guitar player ever...

oops, you're right. steve stevins and harold faltermeyer did the anthem, kenny logins did "Danger Zone".
