sup guys lately I've been haveing trouble creating runs that are interesting and are impressive to me everything I try lately is kinda stuck in that stereo typical yngwie harmonic minor lick. I need help how can I create better runs should I focus more on music theory and try to peice the notes together?

if struck in that YJM harm minor stuff then go listening to other guitarists too, dig some1 other than Yngwie.
think runs as embelishments, their purporse of existance SHOULD be to enhace a melody, not to display skill (that should be a side consequence).
in an harmony context, the chop 'lives' when it is 'aware' of chord changes and progressions.
