My Soundclick (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/7/troubledminds_music.htm)
Just 3 little things I recorded in about half an hour each. The one is a short backer I might use to solo over and if anyone wants to use it to solo over it I would love to hear it...The other 2 are bluesy rock kinda riffs. One is to a Backing Track of Guns n' Roses "Knockin on Heaven's Door". I still think my playing is a tad stiff so I need to work on that. All of these were one take improvs so there are a few mistakes heard.

If you want to loosen up, try doing this exercise
*|-1-2-3-4
the start meaning everystring
start on the low e and work down to the high
then work back up and start on the next fret
do that for like a week, every time you pick up the guitar go up and down the neck
that should be a start at looseniing you up,
also tap your foot when you play and really feel the beat of the song
the term lead is some what mis leading because the rythym imo leads the lead guitar

no offense but u should get a better tone for the guitar because it sounds good but the tone really pisses me off for some reason, its to high and pitchy and maybe u should put down the treble but if u like it that way go ahead

Hey thanks for the tips and calm down Muchavo I can explain lol. I didn't even use my amp because with it my tone would be even more thin. I simply went guitar>>Korg>>Computer>>Audacity. I mostly used a patch called Madman that is a crunchy distortion. For rythem I used either Zombie or Reload patches.
EDIT: Hey what do you think my tone needs?...More body, beefyness? Also Muchavo just doin that exercise for the past 5 mins I noticed that it will drastically help my Pinky coordination which at the moment I have none of... :D

Sorry to say that the amp will have to wait because I have decided to buy a more expensive guitar soon. I might just sell my amp and get a small tube amp like a blues junior or sumthin.

Personally I think that it's not thin it just is crunchy cus that is the patch i used. Also could be because single coil pickups will sound "thin", crisp, and twangy.

I am thinkin of gettin either a Gibson SG Special Faded or a Schecter Artist LE. No I didn't play with a band. I played everything except the drum loops which i got of a program called PC Drummer but it actually takes some effort to get the loops set up due to the way PC drummer is set up.

Your tone is what it is after seeing your setup. We all have to start somewhere, so I wouldn't take anything said here personally. = P
I'd recommend some finger strenght exercises as well to get you going.

Thats just a standard major scale, in this case F Major, first position. Get your pinky in there, and you'll be on your way.
Best of luck with those guitar too m8. = )

Good job. Of course, it takes good gear to get great tone (unless you're eddie van halen!). Don't worry about the tone now, it doesn't sound bad. Oh, and I don't suggest the Gibson SG special faded. Its neck felt bad to me. Not the thickness, but the wood. the finish made it all rough, and it felt like it wasn't even sanded down. The schecters are very good though.

Sry to say the tone is V.Bad "but" all i think u need to do is pm FRPC as he has the korg and has had great tones out of it and see if he could share some of his patches with you.
Also when bending your not bednig to the correct pitch there for sounding way out of tune. Take this as constructive im not having a go ;)
some parts flow pretty well and theres some parts which u tend to hit the same note too many times i think just a bit more mixing it up in the scale and get thos fingers moving well definately help// gd luck :D

I might sell my korg to either put towards a new amp or the korg AX1500G.
